About Me

My name is Elisabeth Hurd, but everyone calls me Betty.

I graduated with a degree in Journalism from the University of Arizona in 2020 (fantastic timing amid the pandemic) and was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. An avid traveler, I make it my goal to leave town as frequently as possible, driving to new and exciting places all around my state and occasionally flying to further destinations. I have a quality where I will see photos and read stories about places I have never been and feel homesick for them. For this reason, I try to travel as much as I can because it is my greatest passion. Here I share my stories from my study abroad trip with Semester at Sea, a program that took me to four continents and 11 countries. Throughout my travels around Asia and Africa, I wrote about my experiences and took tons of photos of my adventures. I have a perpetual ache to see every corner of this incredible, beautiful world, and I wish to inspire this quality of wanderlust in others. Thanks for stopping by, and never stop exploring!
