Total Weight Gained: 16 lbs
Stretch marks?: None
Belly Button Inny or Outtie?: Inny
Maternity Clothes?: Going shopping with Mom this weekend for some more of these.
Symptoms: A little heart burn and my appetite has kind of subsided (for now).
Mood/Emotions: Nothing crazy here this week!
Sleep: Blah. I haven’t necessarily had trouble sleeping this week, but I keep waking up flat on my back and I feel horrible about it! I start out on my side with a pillow (a big one now) jammed in my back, so in case I do roll over I am not completely flat on my back. I guess in my sleep I like to move the pillow! I’m going to talk to my doctor about it at my next appointment to see what I can do to make it better. Any suggestions?
Movement: I felt him move a lot at the two basketball games I attended this week (a good sign . I also felt him yesterday morning at work. Felt some of the normal rolling around but also some bubbles too! I also think our little guy has figured out how to kick Mommy’s bladder. Yippeeeeeee!
Names?: Here we go… we’re going to name our little boy Henry Warren Hurd
“Ugh, that’s awful” Good thing it’s not your baby, assmole
“Is that really the name?” YES!
“Omg I love it!” Thanks we do too!
Cravings: I’ve been kind of obsessed with all things sweet lately, which is odd because I am totally more of a savory person (bacon! bacon! bacon!). For example the other day for dinner I had a bowl of cereal, a granola bar, and frozen yogurt (sorry dentist). Who am I?
Things I Miss: Running (kind of, ha)and being able to walk long periods without feeling completely out of breath.
Workouts This Week:
1. 30 minute walk with Jon & Wrigley
2. 30 minute walk with Jon & Wrigley
3. 30 minute walk on the treadmill + full body stretch
Next Doctors Appointment: 25 Feb…not sure what they’ll do here! I need to start asking these things.
What I’m Looking Forward to Next: Going shopping with Mom this weekend for some nursery closet organization gear!
Other Notable Happenings: On Sunday Jon and I went on a birthing center tour at the hospital where I’ll be poppin’ out baby Henry. They showed us the Labor & Delivery Rooms and the Mommy & Baby Rooms. Once you have the little tot in the L&D room where you’re then transferring to the M&B Room where you’ll stay for 48-72 hours after birth. The rooms were very nice and private. There was a pull out couch for Daddy to sleep and the nurses do almost everything with the baby right in the room. We walked by the nursery where we say three babies all bundled up! One was under the incubator and was literally the size of a Chipotle burrito. Crazy stuff.
ALSO – my old college Coach (who has a 15 month old
little boy) just gave us SO MUCH STUFF! Check this out:
Above, my friends, are two GIANT tubs of CLOTHES (pants, shirts, jackets, hates, shoes, socks, and anything else you can think of!), a diaper bag, a walker, a car seat/baby carrier, and finally two car inserts for the car seat!
Oh and not to mention the perfect STROLLER that goes with the car seat!! This is EXACTLY like the one we registered for and it’s been barely used! It’s beautiful!
We also got from them:
- a Boppy Pillow
- about 10 receiving blankets
- an adorable diaper holder that attaches to the changing table
- a cute sail boat mobile for the crib (reminds me of Deltaville
- one of those super cute and super soft blanket towel things with the little bear hood that you wrap babies up in when they get done with their bath
